Kids' After-School Sewing Classes
New students begin with three easy "starter projects" to learn sewing machine operation and safety, fabric layout, pinning and cutting, and various sewing craft techniques. After completing these projects, students can then select more complex projects to develop and accumulate additional sewing skills. Students are encouraged to choose their own projects and work at their own speed. Although our teaching program is mostly done by supervising individual projects, a special, focused skills-building program is also available if preferred.
Who's Eligible: Ages 6-18
Schedule: The Spring and Fall semesters are divided into 6-week sessions consisting of a 1-hour class each week. Students are free to sign up for one or multiple 6-week sessions during each semester.
Cost: $120* per 6-week session, which is due at the beginning of each session
Please be sure to read our class policies regarding absences and make-up classes before committing to a class time.
Fall Session 1 -- week of September 11 - week of October 16
Fall Session 2 -- week of October 23 - week of December 4 (No classes Thanksgiving week, Nov 20-24)
Spring Session 1 -- week of January 8 - week of February 12
Spring Session 2 -- week of February 19 - week of April 2 (No classes spring break week, Mar 12-16)
Spring Session 3 -- week of April 9 - week of May 14

*Students are required to provide their own supplies, most of which can be purchased at our studio or from a local fabric store. New students will need everything from our printable Supplies List to complete their first 6-week session.

Completed registration forms are required for all new students. This form can be printed from our website or completed in-person on the first day of class.
